Chreees
Hey guys,Since it's already getting to be butt-effin' freezing outside, I'm gonna be smoking next door at the hookah lounge (taking ALL of my own stuff over there) and I was wondering what quicklights work best on a small Tangiers phunnel with Nakhla and Tangiers (Lucid, mainly) shisha? I always use Coconaras, but I think it'll be kinda hard to set up my whole hookah, light the coals on my stove, then try and walk next door with the coals in the tray. Sounds dangerous, lol. But hey, it'd be a good weapon if someone tried to take my hookah! *Throw coals in the mugger's face* Anyway, I just seeing there being more convenience in using QL's. The guy at the lounge uses QL's, but they give me a killer headache. I've still yet to talk to him about all this... I know he's cool with me bringing my own hookah... Makes the price half-off... But I wanna use my Nak and (when I get some) Tang... He only uses Starbuzz (bleh, no buzz no smoke). Anyway, hoping he lets me loiter at his place for like a few bucks or something. Use his wi-fi now that I got a new laptop battery that lasts me 6 hours on a charge, lol. Anyway, suggestions on best quicklights for small phunnel and best for these two types of shisha? Thanks in advance,Chris

SloppyJoe
CH quick lights. Quickest lighting coals ever. And best part is they are natural that come in square shape too. :D
Chreees
Well damn, he already shipped out my order. I don't wanna order just coals and pay $10 shipping...Damn! lol
foibled again
Invest in some black powder, sprinkle some on coconaras, light with torch -> viola! Instant quick lights. That won't flame up as much as CH QLs though. I think John should rename them "Prometheus Rocks".

Stuie
I only keep a couple rolls on hand. for when I travel.
Chreees
Yeah, I'll buy a roll and try them out. Really I'm thinking I might just light some Cocos on my stove and run next door real quick with the coals on the tray. It leaves me with the problem of what if I want more coals and I don't have a stove to light them on? Lol.
twinturboa51
CH qls or Golden 33mm qls. both are great, the CH smell like crap when you light them but if you make sure theyre 100% lit then you cant taste them on the bowl. i usually let them sit for a minute after they light. the goldens imo light easier with just a regular bic lighter. but again just let them sit for a minute after you light them and theyre good to go. i use two on a small phunnel bowl of either coal. cxc5120
Recently just got John's CH instant lights and I really do like them. The only thing that was a negative is that if you light them on a stove burner they give off A LOT of smoke and spark pretty crazy. I lit 4 at one time and I was scared my apartments smoke detector was going to go off. So maybe if you light 1 at a time or if you can light them outside, theyre great coals. agstevens
CH works great i just tried them for the first time tonight. They lit really fast it was nice.
JDHarding
Eric, creator of Tangiers and Tangiers Phunnel bowls.. uses Japanese Canary's. Me, I just use John's naturals. I don't like quicklights. The flavor tastes too much like lighter fluid and always give off that magnesium smell. Bleh.
Stuie
I like Cocos, haven't gotten japs to work right.
Chreees
Yeah, see, I've never found a quicklight that I like. I'm a huge fan of Cocos.
IamWhee
3kings are good for something quick. Love the cocos, take awhile but ohh....so good with tangiers...CH coals make my eyes water from the smoke it produces, hate lighting those indoors, especially in a bedroom.
